"I took Anita’s soap making class. It was so much fun. She took us step-by-step and always made sure we were wearing gloves, etc. I could tell she was a soap maker and really good at teaching others. I also took an art class she taught. She explained everything we needed to do. She was very prepared with all of the things we needed and encouraged us to find our own style and ideas, only stepping in if we asked for assistance. Both experiences were amazing!"

Art of Assemblage

Join Anita for an immersive workshop on the art of Assemblage. In this popular offering, you’ll discover the joy of creating unique, three-dimensional artworks by assembling various found and foraged objects. Unlike traditional two-dimensional collage, assemblage art allows you to bring your creativity to life in a tangible, multi-dimensional form. Under Anita’s expert guidance, you’ll learn techniques to transform everyday items into a cohesive and meaningful piece of art that reflects your personal story and connection to Appalachian heritage.

In this hands-on workshop, all materials are provided. You are also encouraged to bring your own found objects—whether they hold personal significance or simply catch your eye. These items will be integrated into your assemblage, resulting in a one-of-a-kind creation that carries special meaning. Join us and experience the transformative power of turning the ordinary into the extraordinary through art.
