Anita Bentley’s journey as an artist is deeply intertwined with her faith, her family stories, and her Appalachian roots.
Despite initial hesitations and fears, she embraced her desire to be a professional artist who makes art that reflects the soul of the place she loves.
Anita’s vision is to create art that not only beautifies walls and public spaces but also touches hearts and transforms lives. She believes in the God-ordained nature of her calling and is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
Anita was recently accepted as a juried roster artist for Partners for Rural Impact, which funds educational and enrichment opportunities for students and schools in Appalachian Kentucky.
Through her art and educational offerings, Anita hopes to inspire others to embrace their creativity, find healing, and celebrate the beauty of Appalachian culture.
Like many artists from the Appalachian region, Anita’s work emphasizes storytelling and cultural heritage, whether she’s creating sketches, watercolors, or 3-D Assemblage.
Her art beautifies spaces but also conveys meaningful narratives and connects you to the region’s history, with warmth and authenticity.
